Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 September 2026
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or playing Face Off, you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the app. If you're under 18, you may only use Face Off with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
2. Your account
- You sign in with an email address, or through Google, Apple or Discord. Keeping that account secure is your responsibility, because anyone with it has your Face Off account too.
- One account per person. Creating extra accounts to inflate a leaderboard, farm invite rewards, or evade a block is not allowed.
- Your display name comes from your sign-in provider. We may change a name that is abusive, impersonates someone, or is unlawful.
3. Playing fairly
You agree not to:
- Modify the app, or use a modified client, automation, or anything that plays for you.
- Interfere with matchmaking, scores, leaderboards, or another player's game.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, or send them unwanted contact.
- Attempt to access data belonging to anyone else, or probe our systems for weaknesses other than to report them to us in good faith.
- Sell, trade, or transfer your account.
You can block or report any player from the results screen or their profile. We read reports, but we do not promise an outcome on any particular one.
4. Face Off Plus
- Face Off Plus is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews until you cancel it.
- Apple or Google bills you, not us. Cancel in your device's subscription settings — deleting your Face Off account does not cancel a subscription, and you will keep being charged if you only do the former.
- Refunds are handled by whichever store you bought it from, under their policies.
- What the subscription includes is described in the app before you buy. We may change what is included; if we remove something material we will say so in the app first.
- Invite rewards grant free subscription time. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and may be withheld where we see evidence of fake accounts.
5. Advertising
The free version shows ads. They are marked as sponsored, they appear at points between activities rather than during a match, and a Face Off Plus subscription removes them entirely. Ads may come from Google AdMob or may promote Face Off itself.
6. What we own, and what you may do with it
Face Off, its name, its artwork, its games and its code belong to us. You get a personal, revocable licence to use the app for your own entertainment. You may freely share screenshots, recordings, and the stats card the app generates, including in monetised videos or streams. You may not redistribute the app itself or its assets.
7. Availability
We will try to keep the game running, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of faults. Matches depend on a network connection; if yours drops mid-match the game pauses and will forfeit the match after a short wait, which is a design decision rather than a defect.
8. Ending it
- You can delete your account at any time, from Profile → Delete Account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly for cheating or for abusing other players. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
- Closing an account does not entitle you to a refund of subscription time already paid for, except where your local law requires one.
9. Liability
Face Off is a game, provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here removes rights your local consumer law gives you.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
